Bishop Gregory Cooper Biography
Bishop Gregory Cooper, Sr. was born in Oberlin , LA on September 26, 1961 . He attended Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge , LA. He is the senior pastor of two churches: Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church and Antioch - A Full Gospel Baptist Church. He is committed to the service of the Lord with his wife, Evangelist Bessie Cooper, who serves as First Lady.
He also serves as the Bishop of the Southeastern Berith District of Louisiana under the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, which is spearheaded by the International Presiding Bishop, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Sr.
Under the leadership of Bishop Cooper, Southeastern Berith District has grown to nine (9) churches in the Baton Rouge area.
Bishop Cooper also attended P.S.M. Bible College in New Orleans , LA where he pursued an education in Biblical Theology and Spiritual Counseling.
Bishop Cooper is the father of two children: Sharonda, and Gregory Jr., and grandfather of one, Dwayne Dunn Jr. He knows that it is God who is in control of his life, and he continues to press on because he knows, and frequently quotes that “God is not through with me, YET!”
Elder Bessie Cooper Biography
Elder
Bessie Cooper was born on February 16, 1961 and raised in Baton
Rouge, LA. She attended Southern University A&M College in Baton
Rouge. It was there were she met her best friend, companion for
life, and greatest intercessor after Jesus, Gregory Cooper, Sr.
They were married on November 18, 1979, and to this ordained union
of God two children were born; Sharonda Cooper-Dunn and Gregory
Cooper, Jr. She is the proud grandmother of Dwayne Dunn, Jr. known
as “DJ the Genius.”
Elder Cooper work and serve diligently as First Lady beside her husband Bishop Gregory Cooper at Antioch - A Full Gospel Baptist Church and Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Churches both in Baton Rouge. She is also a part of one of the greatest moves of God--The Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, under the divine leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton, and as well as the District Director of the Daughters of the Promise, faithfully with her spiritual mother, Elder Debra B. Morton.
Elder Cooper is a licensed counselor, anointed leader, and fire filled faith walker, however if asked she would proudly tell you she is a child of the Most High God. She knows her assignment and understands that her walk with God is an ever-learning yet ever-increasing process. She is often heard saying and stands firmly on “If God said it, then it is so, and that settles it because He is well able to perform it; To God Be the Glory!” |
